Conti 5p longevity

I like oversteer, but damn that was quick. It looks like my Conties are going to last about 15-16k miles - no track days, just lots of city traffic. Is this normal for these tires? How long did these tires last for you?

Man I'd take that any day. How long did you expect a high performance summer tire to last? My rear Mich pilot ss tires lasted about 9-10k. I drive pretty conservatively too. When I went in to put my summer set up on yesterday they told me rears had only 2 mm and could use replacement. Very disappointed in the wear longevity of the Michelins , as I have been in the past .

Does anyone know the tread depth of MPSS when new? Wonder if they rushed me into the new rears?

I drive fairly conservatively, but do enjoy spirited drives through the Hill Country and fast takeoffs. I currently have 16K on my 5P's, with good tread left. Really have little to complain about, they do well in wet and dry. Doesn't get very cold here, so.... However, I will probably try the PS4S when these need to be replaced.
