No longer for sale. Will hang onto until the performance exhaust proves its longevity.

Thanks for the interest.

Was very interesting. Shame about this. I am sure the m performance exhaust would have no issues.

The m performance exhaust was installed a little while ago after purchase. I picked up my stock competition exhaust from the dealer last week - they kept it aside for me in the workshop until I could hire a ute to get it.

Im investigating how my m competition stock exhaust has a non competition part number right now.

Thanks road runner for Pointing this out - I didn't think to check.

If you are correct I'll demand a brand new competition exhaust from the BMW at their expense.

I'm going to hang onto it regardless given the issue with cracking on the m performance exhaust

Interesting it has the black tips though?

Or the numbers stamped on the muffler suggest non-comp exhaust?

Road runner is saying the part number is consistent with a non competition exhaust

You can buy the tips separately if you want from BMW or the likes of IND. Easy to swap.

The ZCP muffler is different inside as has perforations if you shine a torch inside the tips. Easiest way to tell ZCP vs non-ZCP
Thanks guys. I thought the only diff was the black tips and the software for the burbles and crackles. Must be a bit more to it cheers.

I can't see a part number on the actual exhaust.

I'll shine a torch inside it tomorrow to confirm.

It's just the tips and the muffler that are different, everything else is the same. I would double check before assuming the dealer is up to something.

Yeah mate agree.

Ill check it out tomorrow.

There is a lot of conflicting information around what is actually different.

I'm very doubtful a BMW dealership would do something dishonest like that. They have nothing to gain from it.

Exactly. Everything that I have read suggest that the muffler does have a different part number than the stock. And that perforation thing

Mine is definitely competition - there are holes in the rear pipes.

You are correct - only the tips and the muffler are different. The rest are identical parts.

Is it just Plug & Play? Just to install the muffler without any software change etc..?

Only mechanical installing?
