Anyone running 285/35/18 square?

Concern is for the front. Looking at tirerack, the 285/35/18 Hankook RS4 has identical rolling diameter (25.7") as the stock sized 245/40/18 Michelin PSS. Stock 245/35/19's are even taller at 25.8".

I'm looking to run these on 18x10 ET25 EC-7's. Suspension is Swift springs on Bilstein DampTronic with Dinan camber plates. Should be around -2.3 degrees of camber. Will this be a problem?

Can't say for sure but think that should be doable. Usually the diameter that's the issue so going little wider shouldn't be. Lots run slicks in 275-35 that run super wide like bfg r1

Inner or outer? If outer, how much camber is needed?

im running 285-645-18 continental slicks all around with -2.4 up front with slick rubbing but I will be removing the fender liner and should be good to go. I think you will have a slight rub. See if you can find a local with that size for test fit? Surely there are some track guys close to you that might have that tire size in the rear at least

I am wondering the same thing. I'm considering running 285/35r18 square RS4s on 18x9 et 30 and 18x10 et 25 wheels stock e90 zcp.

Not much point in running a square set up you cant treat as one.

Elaborate?

Edit: Oh, to dnoble37. Right. No point trying to run square if the wheels aren't identical. A major benefit is being able to rotate front to rear.

I don't care one bit about rotation. I'm focused specifically on the maximum amount of rubber I can fit on my front wheels for autocross purposes.

my 275/35/18's rub a tiny bit on the inside rear of the tire near where the front subframe bolts up. there are a few wires there. so move those things (like i did) and you might be fine.... kinda depends on how tight of turns you're doing in autocross.

I'd be looking a tire rack treadwidth specs to see whether the tires you want run narrow or wide compared to what you know works. I run 265/35/18 in a couple of tires (PSS and new EC Sport) and they fit with room to spare. I think I could run 275/35/18 in most tires on my 08E90M3 lowered with H&R Sport springs on ARC8 18x9.5 ET22. I think 285/35/18 might not fit but I have not tried. The ET can be adjusted down with spacers if needed but I have ET22 and think I woukd be too close to the fender with 285/35.

I used the 285/35-18 RS3 on the front for a while on 18x10ET25, rubbed a bit but nothing terrible. Fender clearance was no problem, just rubbed the liners a bit

Is your car lowered?
I cant find BFG R1S tires in 265/35 18 anywhere due to the back order and not sure if 275/35 fits my front slightly lowered with -2.8 camber.
These tires run very wide but I have never had a problem with 265/35 up front with my current set up.

Problem is not fender lining, that can be removed.
I run 295/30 and the real problem is rub on springs and shock housing. I have helper springs removed and run short springs to get clearance.
