Best setup for dedicated autocross/track wheels/tires?

Your are not getting a "clear" answer because there isn't one.

It's all about compromise. Many favour 18" for track because tires are less expensive and there are more tire options available in 18". Some have to go with 19" because of their brake setup (CCB won't clear 18" wheels for instance). A square setup is better to be able to maximize tire life by allowing front to rear tire rotation. A staggered setup is better to leverage the mid-range power of the S55.
