Ad08r 265/30r19 295/30r19

Anybody tried AD08R 265/30R19 295/30R19 on stock 19 wheel?

On paper it looks really decent: 10.3" front tread width, 11.5" rear tread width. Compare to Re-71R 265/35R19 front tread width 9.6", 285/35R19 rear tread width 10.1", very decent increase. Also more rear biased to help to put the power down. Rear/front diameter ratio is the same as stock 255/275 combination so shouldn't have any DSC problem.

I've done HRE R101 with Toyo R888 in those sizes.... I know they aren't AD08R like you're asking, but performance was great!

I am currently running ad08r in 265/35/19 & 305/30/19. I would say the performance is not on par as the R888, but I've been able to squeeze many more miles out of them

Plus it's noticeable quieter. Still a bit loud, but quieter than R888

Thanks Justin. Is the grip at least better than MPSS?

Much better!

On stock tune, there is very minimal wheel spin. Car just launches

Tuned, 500+ torque it's hard to put the power down but it catches much faster than the PSS... I haven't tested MP4S yet

I wonder whether this combination is better than RE-71R 265/35 285/35 combo on track.

Pretty sure from what I've been reading the re71r>ad08r.
I have the re71r in 305's out back but they're pretty worn and was considering maybe trying the r888r or psc2?
Do you know if these would be stickier than the re71r Justin?

I haven't had any personal experience with the RE71R yet, but I've been receiving tons of positive feedback

According to the UTQG ratings, the AD08R is rated better for traction, but less for mileage:

RE71R 200A A vs AD08R 180 AA A

These ratings are close to useless since there is no industry standard, the RE-71R is in a different league in terms of outright grip and accelerated wear.

I think the AD08R is a fantastic daily driving tire (and wayyy better than MPSS), but if someone is chasing the last few tenths at the track the RE-71R will be faster.

If it is the same size yes. But here 295/30R19 AD08R is 1.4 inches wider than a 285/35R19 RE-71R. Is it enough to make a difference?

If it is the same size then yes RE-71R is better than AD08R. However 295/30R19 AD08R is 1.4 inches wider than a 285/35R19 RE-71R. Is it enough to make a difference?

I wouldn't recommend pinching the 295 AD08R on the OEM 10" wheel. The 275 fits perfectly. It'll be lighter, have better lateral response and its cheaper lol.

275 AD08R isn't too much wider than 285 RE-71R. In that case, RE-71R is probably a better track inclined dual purpose choice.

I have 275/295/19's on 9.5/10.5 rims and they are fabulous. They stick very well and I only have 75-100 miles in them and the temps have been 60's.

For what it's worth, I had AD08Rs on my last wheel set up and they were really loud as in cabin road noise. Great grip but I couldn't stand the noise.

Is your car lowered and do you have the 305 on stock 19 rims? Also how is the 30 tire vs the 35 stiffer or about the same?
