Updated the post to note that I can't stomach putting a kids seat, not to presume there is lack of room. There is plenty of room for child seats to fit comfortably in the rear and I have a massive child's seat and it fit without issue.

I can understand that. However, it does have some nice features even though it's not DCT. Such as auto rev-match downshift if you're in sport, it's disabled in efficient and sport-plus modes. You can also code it in/out.
