Hoosier R7 Break-in

Hey fellas. Trying out cheater ho hos for the first time. What has been your experience for prolonging tire longevity?

Bring them up to temp slowly over ~6laps then drive one hard lap. Immediately bring them in and take off. Store them for min 24hrs.

A few moderate pace laps and a day's rest off the car is a common "best practice" if you prioritize life above all other things. Don't slide them during the scrub session.

But they're just a bit faster brand new

How many heat cycles can we expect from r7s?
I am leaning towards BFG R1S.
I hear they are as fast or faster, and they last a lot longer than R7.

Unless BFG has changed R1S recently I think the "faster than R7" thing is outdated info from comparison with R6...
