Take it to CarMax for a baseline offer, if there is CarMax in your area. For that low mileage car, no accidents, etc., they will give a reasonably fair deal, with no obligation to actually sell it to them. Expect to take a bath one way or another given your car is not that old, so it is at the height of the worst depreciation from new.
Look at this 2016 low mileage M4 here with 2.5k miles for $63k, so expect somewhere in the low to mid $50k range on an offer. |

The LCI coming out this year and not having a CP might hurt you a little but you should be able to get mid 50s if you're willing to wait a little.

A little less than whatever Edmunds and KBB say for regular black, with nothing added for frozen paint or PPF. You might get a better deal trying to sell to a BMW dealer who can CPO it vs. trading it in at a Porsche dealership who can easily sell the new car you are buying without a need to negotiate. Obviously you can get more if you want to deal with selling it privately.

Anyone who says under $60k is nuts, or is looking to buy (or both). I'd say you should be able to get around 8-10% below invoice, which I assume is probably $62k-$64k for your car and its options. Love the paint btw
Definitely do a trade to get the tax incentive, or sell privately. Although I think the tax in Virginia is fairly low, so maybe not a big factor like in other states. |

I said $62-64k (adjusted it 10 seconds after posting once I figured the real MSRP). Trade in will be lower but he should be able to get low 60's with a private sale. Dealer is going to give about 5-7% less which they will pocket as profit once they resell it. Keep in mind this may be a slightly niche car because of the paint, some will love it, some will hate it, but the right buyer will probably pay extra for it through a private sale. |

Car looks great. Post some photos over on the 3/4 series forum. There are a lot of guys over there in 335s and 340s modding them into what they think is an M equivalent. You may get lucky and get a sale while giving someone a deal at the same time.
Someone over there will love and appreciate your car like it was gold. |
