P00BC Code after Exhaust Install

Hey Guys, so I've been getting the P00BC Code with engine light on after installing the RPI GT Catback exhaust.
Is this a common issue, is there a leak in my exhaust?

Check for plugs in those vacuum lines and that nothing else got unplugged during install! Report back with what you find

I looked up the fault code in Rheingold and it has something to do with your Mass Air Meters: Signal or air mass too low.
You should try cleaning your MAF's. It may be that your engine is flowing slightly more air and it's triggering the fault. The system is very sensitive.

Thanks guys, I will try to plug the vacuum lines that was on the OEM exhaust and report back. If that doesn't work then will spray the MAF sensor with some CRC spray.

Ok guys, here's a quick update:

I plugged the hoses with golf tees and also zip ties. The code went away after about 20 miles and maybe after another 40 miles of driving it came back on. The weird thing is 10 miles later the code disappeared again and it's stayed off.

For anyone with aftermarket exhaust, make sure you plug the hoses though. It definitely brought my car back alive, with the hoses open the car felt sluggish like it was only about 300HP but with the hoses closed the car feels like it should!

You know what's weird is when I drive with WOT on sport and sport+ the engine light will come on.
BUT if I leave it in efficient setting and drive for 20+ miles the code will disappear by itself.

Anyone know why this is happening?

Is it the same exact code that comes up when you do that? have you read the code or just see that the light comes on?

I'm assuming it's the same code, didn't get a chance to pull it before it went away.

the light came back on today, went to the auto parts and pulled the code.

P00BC
P0171

the second code is a new code.
Anyone know what's going on?

P0171 is bank 1 lean mixture. as previously mentioned i would check your air intake system for any issues. make sure your filters are good, and that the airboxes and piping to the turbo inlets are tight. if there is an air leak after the mass airflow sensor, that can cause a lean condition. make sure nothing obvious is wrong in the engine bay and go from there. hope this helps.

Also clean your MAFS just to rule that out.

The MAFS are clean, it's weird. The CEL has been off for about a week now and hasn't come back on.

One thing I did notice with the car though after 2 weeks of driving with the RPI exhaust.
I feel like there is loss in torque and the car doesn't feel as fast as it did with the oem exhaust although the RPI sounds much better.
I've plugged the valve hoses with golf tee so it shouldn't be leaking there.

There may still be a leak in the vacuum lines. I used caps, silicone and zip ties on mine.

Agreed. Also, when does the P0171 code come on, cruising, @WOT? Pick up a cheap code scanner so you can log which code comes on at the current driving conditions.
