255/275 AD08R on ZCP wheels

Will these rub on an E92 with the competition package? The specs on tirerack show they are a very wide tire. After searching I see they fit nicely on the E90 but couldn't get a definitive answer on the coupe.

Coupe and sedan have essentially the same clearance on the M3. It was only the non-M cars that had clearance differences between the two. You will be fine. Keep in mind most people run 12mm to 15mm spacers with their ZCP wheels. You are proposing running a tire that is 10mm wider which basically adds 5mm on each side. The AD08's run more square at the shoulder than other tires but that might add only a few more mm's to the clearance needs. You have plenty of room to work with.

Just wanted to be sure before I purchase them. I'm going to be ordering the tires long distance from tire rack.

I am running this setup, at it did slightly rub in the front for a couple days. I run them at 33psi all around and they are fine. Great tire and perfect sizes, no regrets. You will have a lot more fun using launch control.

Hit a 0-60 in 3.8 seconds with a new set of 246/265 conti DW's on my 18" daily wheels. Maybe I'll beat that time with the wider rears.

I ran F 255/35 AD08R on a 9.5" ET 28 wheel and experienced very slight rub on full lock as mentioned by opihi5.

I have them for sale now if interested!

So the rubbing is only on the fronts and when turning full lock? No rubbing while tracking?

No. You will not rub 100% with 255/275 AD08R on the OEM ZCP Wheels.

You will even be able to run a small spacer front and rear if you so please.

Wheelset and tires are for HPDE and track days only. About 100 mile drive to and from the track then the they come off for my daily 18" wheels. Can't have any rubbing at suspension limits when bombing around corners.

They don't rub on my E90 but it's a pretty tight fit since the sidewalls are a bit more square than the PSS and other tires of the same size. I don't see why it would be any different on the E92, but I'll let someone else chime in here.

If anything, wider tires would be less likely to rub at the track since you are not going lock-to-lock on the steering wheel.

I remember someone mentioning the sedan can fit a wider tire in the back due to larger fender flare...or something to that effect

If you're not going to use spacer's no problem.

I had rubbing in back with 265/40 on stock 18" wheels with 10mm spacer on track. Going to 5mm got rid of rubbing.

I didn't rub with 10mm spacers and PSS tires in the same size in the rear. The AD08R are very square and stiff compared to PSS.

275/295 in AD08R's? Wow.

I ended up ordering a set of 255/275 from tirerack. Any issues storing these tires in an unheated garage? Won't get below freezing but might get to 40' occasionally.
