M3 Incoming

Car left VPC this morning at 9am. It is scheduled to arrive at my dealer on Fri.

Lots of issues though. My CA is the Sales Manager and I didn't think he was going to be part of the test drives at the Performance Center. Well, he is and won't be back till late Friday night. He actually won't be in till Monday but said he will get the car to me this weekend if it gets there on time Friday to be VPI'd.
This is the exact situation I was dreading, having to wait till Monday instead of taking delivery this weekend.

BASTARD!!! I am so jealous, especially since we have pretty much identical specs for our cars. Think you could bring that thing to the western burbs when you get it so I can get a look at it???

Well that would be a 4hr drive for me. Not everyone who is in IL is near Chicago.

That's ok, just please take TONS of pictures, it seems that nobody in the states has gotten IB yet and the silver interior. Happy for you man, I wish I was in your shoes.

Many sales managers are at the PC for indoctrination on the M3,X6 and 1 series. That's why it's closed and deliveries are backed up. Congrats on your car. Waiting a few more days is tough. My car will be ready on the 24, but I can't get to Dallas till the 3rd. By then you'll be broken in and telling us about what your beast sounds like at 8400 rpm!

Good point.

AwesomeM3 has the same combo and he has posted some GREAT shots. Only difference is I ordered Ext Leather.

...and if not, he needs to have someone in his absence come in to handle it on Friday...Give me a break...Now I'm getting pissed, what's this guy's number? This is unacceptable!

this sucks Ep...hang in there, just a little more, tell your boss you'll work then entire weekend including Sunday so you could have a couple days off to driver it when you get it

He said he would leave the paperwork for his Finance guy. He said he was going to make it happen if it got here on time.

Looks like I'm screwed due to being a military order...got this from Terry B this morning...

Date: April 16, 2008

Your BMW is on a boat scheduled to arrive at the New Jersey VDC (port) on 4/12/08. All BMWs must be cleared by U.S. Customs and the Department of Agriculture before they are taken to the VDC for processing. It normally takes 1 – 2 weeks from the date the boat arrives before the cars are shipped to the BMW centers (dealers).

Once your BMW arrives in the U.S. , I can Federal Express the MSO, invoice and a copy of the Military Purchase Order to you since these documents are needed to register your BMW. The Title for your BMW is issued by the Department of Motor Vehicle after the registration paperwork is processed.

Since I’m not notified when cars are shipped from the VDC, you should contact your dealer after the boat arrives to make arrangements on the delivery of your BMW.
