Anyone try the Nexen N FERA SUR4?

I've seen some S2000 and Subaru guys running these on the track with positive feedback when comparing to the RE-71R and RS-3. Looks like a full set of 275/35/18's is less than $800.

TR's own test results (helpfully 18" sizes) seem to say it's only better than those tires if you consider cost. Which you should at $800 a set.

But I think I'd rather Federal 595RS-RR if I was going to buy a set of cheap, loud track tires

I'd love to see an on-track comparison of the cheaper tires like the N FERA SUR4 and 595RS-RR. A dollar:lap time chart would be interesting.

Friend told me there are new federal 65 treadware tires too.

Even if certain tires are good on other cars, don't they pretty much suck bc our m3's are pigs though? Overheat quicker? Or am I thinking of this wrong?

If you get the right load rating, tread heat due to vehicle weight shouldn't be a problem.

Regardless it would still heat up faster right?
