295/30/19 Michelin Super Sport / 2 different models??

I don't know if this has been discussed. I've tried searching and could not find a definitive answer. I've notice that there are two super sport tires that pretty much have the same specs but one has "BSW" in the title and cost about $20 cheaper than the other. Does anybody know the significant difference between the 2-295/30/19??:

BSW means Black Sidewall

Not sure why it would be $20/Tire cheaper though.

You may want to check Tire Rack's website. One model might be vehicle- or manufacturer-specific (e.g. Mercedes, BMW, etc). There are small differences such as tread width and weight.

The more expensive tire is probably an OEM Cadillac (believe current CTS-V rear tire) fitment. The caddy tire has different construction (it's 3lb heavier) and molded at 9/32" instead of 10/32".

I know this because I was smart enough to use Tire Rack instead of some other place that doesn't give you enough info to make an informed decision on its website

According to Tirerack, one tire is TPC Spec and the other is not. The tire specifications are slightly different and the origin of the TPC is American and the other is France.

I'd go with the wider tread width which also has the lower weight.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing.
