Delivery journey. 16 F80 CP with Tanzanite Blue & Silverstone
Will update post as it progresses...
Currently waiting for my flight to go pick up the new wheels. Was kindly sent a tease photo pre-delivery, fresh off the truck by my dealer. Hour & half flight - then about hour & half to get to dealer. |

on the weekend i went and saw silverstone zcp interior in the flesh, definitely the right decision - it does so much to life the quality feel of that interior
i'm still 6-8 weeks away from delivery of my AW/SS zcp congrats mate, keen to hear more feedback on first impressions |

Update. Flight delayed for half hour due to medical emergency & then the aerobridge would work so stuck on the plane for another half hour! Just made it on the train with 30 seconds to spare to avoid another hours wait for the next one. Now wandering my way up the coast to the dealer who are running behind (this was always going to be a tight match) so will do part delivery today, borrow a loaner & complete tomorrow as I have work booked for the morning. **** |

Nothing exciting today. Just a quick once-over for the car (it's all in one piece!), sign off on variety of papers & off we go.
*** Incidentally, I got the car registered in QLD, not at NSW dealership & saved $700+ |

Finally have my keys & my car. The delivery hold was a little dark so photos were a little hard - will get more when I get it home next week.
Still need to spend some time getting my driving positions setup just right, but first initial impressions I'm loving the car, the exhaust on CP is SO much better than the stock; appears less piped in noise, more raw attitude that was so severely lacking. IDrive5 is a lot more fluid and aesthetic, will take a while to get used to the new menus & will pose some confusion jumping between cars & iDrive versions |

the demo i had for the day only had 200km when i picked it up, and i've read that these things come alive after the first service - exhaust noise + power
make sure you get it on the highway and go through the rev range with alot of mid rpm decel to seat the rings well in first 50-100 kms tbh i don't typically buy into that anal run in process, but the M engines seem to be really dependent on a proper break in |
