E92 M3 vs Various Gen M3 @ Autobahn CC 8/1/16

Had yet another fun track day in the 134K mile E92 M3. This time I was lucky to get to go against all these great M cars.

Vs E36 M3

Vs E46 M3

Vs F82 M4

Vs F80 M3

Vs F80 M3 again

...and finally got humbled by a C6 Z06, and a Porsche

Did the black f80 ask what type of supercharger you had? Because there's no way an e92 can hang right?

I know, right. But seriously, I think our power band really favors this track.

This is a classic illustration of the difference a good driver is over necessarily different cars. You can see the different lines you were taking faster than frankly better cars, the new M4/M3, and also how much faster the Z06 and GT3 were was a result of better lines at the extremes albeit you picked up the pace when you started following. They are faster cars, but they were faster drivers.

Ok, thanks for your input. I found yet another F80 M3 that I beat, in the day's footage, but didn't see the need to upload it. Can't imagine all the F80/F82 M3/M4 drivers were that bad, but hey, anything's possible.

Which group were you running with that day?

Nice driving. What's your tire setup and how do you like it on track? Have you replaced rod bearings?

Stock PS2s. I've been experimenting with tire pressures and finally find a range they like. I have not replaced my rod bearings. I don't plan to either. To me, it's more of a risk to do it, than to not at this point.

How many track days are you up to on the car? I'm at 142k now and 38 track days on original bearings. I'm loathe to mess with a good thing.

I'm at 134K. Agreed It's risky to do it at any mileage.

These events aren't timed so I'll assume he means "beat" because he got a point-by.

I have 14 track days on it so far. Bought it in May 2014 with 95K miles, and one owner.

The bearing thing will stick to your mind depending of which section of the forum you frequent I'm now blocked from posting in that section, and couldn't be happier!
