Track Night in America - Pocono Raceway

Pocono is probably the closest track to me now that I moved out of Pittsburgh. Anyone been to Pocono? I know they have a lot of configurations, but there are a couple of TNIA coming up that I am itching to check out.

Are these track nights paced laps or not? I definitely hope they're not. I was looking at signing up for the one at Pitt International

There is a specific time where drivers can go out for paced laps. The novice group also starts with a few paced laps I believe. Intermediate and advanced don't have any paced laps

Novice group gets four sessions, first being a paced lap session. If it's your first time at the track, and you registered for intermediate or advanced group, you could probably get in on the novice paced lap session if you ask.

I'm in advanced class but I wasn't sure. Seems like a fairly good price for $150 and a fun evening at the track

If you can leave work early it is a very convenient event. I will say that last time I went (to PittRace) the first 4 sessions ended early. I do kind of think the cheaper price and event goal of "getting people to the track" leads to some less desirable conditions. For someone with busy weekends though it is a good event

Open passing and full track I'm assuming? Sorry for so many questions. I don't want to load up my trailer and skip class on a Monday afternoon to come over and it's like driving class at the local dmv haha
