Garage List
GoPro + Harry's Lap Timer. If you are more serious, GoPro + RaceRender + AIM Solo DL with CAN bus integration.

I use a Sony AS20. Works great, but you'll have to drill a hole in the included waterproof case if you want to use internal mic.

For 3 HPDE's a year, Harry's Lap Timer is sufficient.

I use this one and it has served me well. And for $30 I won't cry if it breaks or whatever:

(you also need the $9 USB audio adapter and a skeleton case for the camera)

As far as camera mounts, I use the new Tackform v2 (also on Amazon):

recently got this mic buffer. the small foam thing that comes with the mic is kinda cheesy and i think it will fall off. so i bought this and zip tied it on.

In my experience of putting the mic on the back bumper, the included foam tip was sufficient to muffle wind noise.

i did just that, but the tiny foam buffer didn't really secure to the mic very tightly. i got a small zip tie on it, but i still felt like it was going to fly off.
