F83 M4 CP Vert - June-ish

Finally got around to posting my spec up.
Really looking forward to this...should arrive end of June, bring on summer!

ZCP3 F83 M4 Competition Package Convertible
A29 Silverstone II Metallic
Upholst X3DA Sakhir Orange Full Merino Leather
Option 2MK Seven-speed Double Clutch Transmissio
Option 3AG Reversing Assist camera
Option 4WL Carbon Fibre interior trim w/ Black C
Option 465 Through-loading system
Option 493 Extended storage
Option 688 Loudspeaker system - harman/kardon su
Package ZCV Convertible Comfort package
Option. 524 Adaptive Headlights
Option 610 Head-up DIsplay

Should look pretty much like this, but with the CP wheels. That's the only part of the CP pack I am note sure about, but the other improvements were a no brainier.

Going to get the M3 boot lip added before pickup. May also get a colour coded front spiller.

Will also buy the add-on so can remote open the roof, one touch and increases the speed it will open/close when on the move. http://www.mods4cars.com/sms/shop/in...de=view&id=601

Top car, great spec. I went for MG/SS on my F83 and love it. The only thing I regret not speccing is Comfort Access. Not so much for the keyless entry, but the ability to open and close the roof remotely, same for windows and same for door mirrors. None of which you can do (even apparently with coding) without CA.

Thanks fella. I have SS in my M6 and love the interior. Just fancied a change and really wanted SS on the outside!

See the comment at the end of thread - this gadget is what you need as well. Cheaper and better than comfort access as you can do things like one tough opening, and even increase the speed at which the roof opens! http://www.mods4cars.com/sms/shop/in...de=view&id=601

I'll second this on the comfort access. It's a bit crap. To open or close the roof/Windows you have to be stood right next to the car. I know this is done so that you don't trap an innocent passerby's head in the mechanism because you're not stood by it to warn them but you might as well sit in the car and do it. I feel like a bit of a tool stood next to it putting the roof up with the key. Just looks like I'm trying to show off. It would make more sense, to me, if you could do this through the window of your house.

As for folding wing mirrors, this only works by holding the lock button down on the key fob whilst also stood right next to the car so again it seems pointless. I like my mirrors to fold in as it gives a visual indication that the car is locked and it keeps them a bit more out of harms way. On my Audi I'd lock the doors, without the key, and the wing mirrors would fold. I know this can be programmed in on the M but with all the other negative points with the comfort access I'd rather have the aftermarket add on. Wish I'd known about it before I ordered.

Very interesting, thanks both. I'll stop beating myself up about not speccing CA then! I'll give it a while but can see me picking up one of those gadgets in the not too distant.....more toys
