I have Opticoat on my 135i and will be getting it applied to the M2 when mine arrives.
Have found it to be fantastic over the 3 years it's been on. I think it cost me just over 1k, but i think it goes by the size of the car so may cost more due to the M3 being larger. Saying that the cost may have even dropped due to competitive products on the market. |

I am thinking (about 95% sure) of doing the same when my M3 arrives. I did notice the following on the Opticoat website so was assuming the price would be around $1100 including the wheels.
http://opticoat.com.au/opti-coat-packages-and-pricing I didn't get a quote yet since I was waiting closer to the delivery date. Would be interested to hear from people who have had it applied whether they allowed BMW to detail the car before delivery or asked for it not to be touched other than the normal inspection checks. Also interested to here if BMW allowed the person applying Opticoat to do so at the BMW premises or having to wait to get the car home, etc. |

Throwing this in for consideration,
https://www.facebook.com/autoglamour/ I used cquartz on my e92. It was pretty good, nothing to compare to though unfortunately. I know Auto Glamour comes highly recommended. |

I ended up choosing Gyeon Mohs+ for the paint protection. I got the paint protection and leather treatment for around $750 IIRC. I would pass on the leather protection, but the paint protection is absolutely fantastic. So much more glossier than others I've seen and the water beading is great.

I was going to put Opti Coat on my X5 a couple of years ago, but the installer said that it reduces the shine a bit. I have read about this on various forums as well.
However, the newest version of Opticoat is supposed to be much better when it comes to gloss and shine. For my 'old' 335, which my daughter now drives, which is left parked on the street, I went with Gtechniq Crystal Serum, which is supposed to be really hard, long lasting and has a great glossy shine. It was only done a few weeks ago and yes, it looks great and it's still quite slippery. Cost me $495. If you are careful and regularly wash and wax your car, you can get away without any of these ceramic coatings. When I look at the 335, it's 6 years old, but looks like it's a year old; actually it looks better than the 3 year old X5. I used Opti Seal paint protection, which is a spay on protectant regularly and I think that may have helped; it certainly made it shine. |

Have had Ceramic Pro applied to 2 cars now and could not be happier, go to the car wash soapy pressure clean then rinse off and chamois comes up like it had just been applied again.
Cermic Pro uses nano technology. Diamond Paint Protection applied this product and were very thorough. Cost was 950 per car. If you wanted more info give them a call they are in Perth, Bibra Lake. They had previosly been using Opticoat. Hope this helps |
