Akrapovic Downpipes + Slip-on Only

Hi,

Does anybody have any videos/experience with Akrapovic Downpipes and the Akrapovic Slip-on?

I wanted to get a feel for what the sound was like without changing the midpipe.

I just had the downpipes installed which are great!

I heard mixed feedback some loved it, other hated and switched to another exhaust.

I would be surprised if someone left Akra for an inferior brand. No one can match the build quality and the system has its own signature sound. Here's a quick launching sound clip of catless downpipes and Akrapovic Evolution exhauston our shop M4:

It's best to have a listen IRL, as no one will be able to fully describe in a way which will be equivalent to experiencing it in person.

Who said anything about the other brand being inferior?

I like the Akra build quality the most, but not the Akra sound.
If i had to pick an exhaust i would pick a real high quality exhaust build (does not have to be the best build) with the best sound

It's an opinion, so it's subjective but to be blunt everyone wants it cause of the name.; so at that point you are no different then anyone else in your circle of M buddies. I prefer a unique car. My .02.

Brand prestige is only part of the entire package and they have a very well earned reputation. Quality, performance and sound rounds out the rest of the overall package.
We've heard and installed (and dynoed) nearly every system on the market and are sharing our opinion also.

Sound is still subjective and opinionated. Just like some people enjoy the sound of the E46 chainsaw rasp, many hate it. Akra and their sound may vary well be not for everyone.

Completely agree. I think a little rasp is a part of the S54 signature, others hate it.

Don't you have a thread touting the Active exhaust as "The ULTIMATE exhaust system"? You can have your opinions, we'll have ours.

Thanks for finally getting those missing pieces shipped so we can get the Active exhaust installed for our customer and have experience with this system as well.

First off I contributed to the thread with a unedited video of the akra exhaust with a downpipe just like the OP asked for.

Second of course we tout our own exhaust system WE MAKE IT and have put tons of hours into getting the sound we wanted. The customer reviews Agree!

When the EAS Aka "Macht Schnell" Exhaust system drops then you can refer to "yours" as the ultimate.


In regards to the missing part... Yes, we overnighted the Missing bracket for the customer no questions asked. Everyone makes mistakes its all about how you handle it. Not sure what this has to with the thread though..

Why not get the full system? Based on the sound coming out of my comp speakers, I love it and if I had the coin, would not hesitate to get it.

I have not heard the Akrapovic with out the mid pipe. All of my clients choose to go with it, that way the full exhaust it titanium and all the same.
