E92 M3 w/DCT + Akrapovic Exhaust + multiple 8600 rpm redlines video

Here's my car - took this video this morning before heading to work. Just love the sound of this exhaust, and love hitting the raised redline over and over.

I have the exact same setup, all the way down to the CF tips. Sounds great!

sounds awesome. just wish it didn't cost 6k, require warning suppression, and swapping every 2 yrs to pass emissions....

They can be had for $3.5k used, nothing is suppressed other than the CEL associated with the second O2 sensors, and swapping the midpipe is very easy even for the DIY'er.

Funny- was just looking at a used one for... $3.5k! ha tempting

Wish I had more skills and wasn't in a public garage so I could do more DIY.

Can you feel the extra HP? And hows the drone putzing around? The last thing I want to do is put it on and then find out it's too much for me...

I've got the same setup. No drone. I had a Dinan setup previously, which had awful drone.

The HP is absolutely noticeable between the exhaust + the tune.

Bought mine used, 3500. It has a bassy tone < 2-3k rpm that sort of rumbles, but it isn't a displeasing or hammering sensation. See here in this thread for some other subjective thoughts from other people:

http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=762624

I haven't experienced a really bad drony exhaust before so I don't really have a frame of reference to tell you. What I can tell you though, is that it sounds amazing at all RPMs. I roll down the windows just to hear it.

I do definitely notice a hp gain from stock, especially with the tune. You have more pull from 3-4k RPM on up and it gets more and more pronounced towards the top of the range. I have wheel chirp at the top of first and second where I didn't have before.
