iDrive song display not changing when selecting next track
My car is equipped with CIC iDrive which up until recently worked as it should. Last week while bluetooth streaming it started keeping the song info on the screen when I skip to the next track. Sometimes itll catch up and actually display the correct song, but maybe only 10% of the time. I have tried resetting the CIC by holding down the volume knob and eject button, that didnt work. I also deleted my car from the phone and vice versa, and repaired the bluetooth connection.
I currently have an iPhone 6 with the latest iOS 8.4 software. The music app updated last week and I can't help but think this may be the cause of my problem. Has anyone else noticed these symptoms after the update? Also, I'm open to any suggestions on how to fix it. Last edited by vastano; 07-14-2015 at 02:31 PM.. |

Yeah mine rarely displays the correct song on the idrive. I've had 3 different phones connected to it, still can't keep up. It will display the first song when I start streaming spotify, then when I change songs, it stays stuck on the first song and maybe eventually it will display the next song I was listening to. But then I change the song again and the whole process gets repeated. lol

Well, I think I accidentally discovered the fix. I needed a charge on my phone so I plugged it in via USB last night. Since then the iDrive seems to be keeping up with when I switch tracks.
