Ridiculous High-res Pics of M3 Road Trip to the Tetons
I recently returned from an amazing road trip from Chicago all the way to the Tetons in Wyoming. There's not alot of space around Chicago for fun driving, so a road trip seemed appropriate. Since I was doing alot of photography there, I ended up with a bunch of car pics as well. I figured I'd share as I always enjoyed road trip postings on the forum myself. Given how incredible the Tetons are, I think the pics turned out pretty amazing.
Some other trip details- -I put 3655 miles on the car in a week (got 22.4 mpg). -I covered key areas in blue painters tape several times without issue and glad I did. -The car is all OEM ZCP, with 12f/10r spacers, and AD08R tires. -Car ran like a champ throughout and fortunately no flats stranding me in the middle of nowhere, WY. -Jackson and the Teton area is astounding and is definitely one of my new favorite places in the country. I'd frequently take a pic, check the result, and mutter to myself "oh my god.... ridiculous." The 7500 ft elevation difference from peak to valley just looks continuously surreal. -I'm using a Canon 6D. Cheers and Enjoy! |

Gorgeous pics! How did the tires hold up in the rain/cold/etc?

The AD08R tires are great! I just had them put on a month or two ago. In researching, they seemed unnecessary for street driving compared to the PSS, but I'm glad I got them because all the concerns about noise or harshness I think are a bit overstated. Grip is fantastic in 1st and 2nd. Turn in is sharp. Looks are fantastic. I will be getting these again for sure.
It got down into the upper 30's a few times, but they seemed fine. I know they are not to be exposed to temps below 18 degrees or something, so I will definitely be storing them this winter in Chicago... |

I am glad it did not snow for me- I don't think the AD08R would have liked that very much! It was a perfect sunny and dry 80 degrees every day while I was there (while foggy and rainy in Chicago...) Did not know about Bear Lake- have to check that out next time! |

Yeah, picture perfect mountain range to be sure... Also, for the record- no drop, unless you just mean my stock ZCP suspension. Something about the ZCP suspension, with the ZCP wheels, with the spacers, with the more squared AD08R tire... makes it almost look that way. The rear looks really aggressive. The front maybe could still use a tiny drop depending on ones preference. I'm impressed with how it turned out as is, so get to avoid any additional drop headaches... |

Also some attention from flies periodically, who congregated to eat the bug guts off the front. Baking in the sun made the tape harder to remove (I left it on for almost a week at one point). Rain on the way home made a subsequent tape job easy to remove, but without causing it to fall off. Maybe they'll have stealthy white tape one day. Or I could just get a clear bra like a normal human being |
