Magnaflow Exhaust + Test Pipes E90 M3

Hey all,

Ever since I bought the M3, I couldn't believe how quite the stock exhaust system was. In my opinion, I thought the 335 was louder the M3!

1.5 years ago, I took out the primary cats, and there was a significant improvement inside the cabin that I was very content with it. The only downside, was that it was a bit raspy, and you could not hear a difference when you were driving normally.

A couple of months ago, I began searching for an exhaust system that I liked. I was looking for an exhaust that many people wouldn't really go for, a boomy screamer. Where I don't need to go fast in order to hear the exhaust note, something with a little drone to it, and lastly, something that had the deep V8 tone down low, and screamed at the higher RPMs.

I narrowed it down to the Magnaflow and Gintani set up, but thinking that Magnaflow does make quite a bit of exhausts, I thought you can't really beat the quality for their price. In all, I'm glad I chose this exhaust, the sound is sublime, and has exactly everything I wanted out of the exhaust.

I finally got around to getting a good video, so here it is at the famous Angeles Crest Highway, north of Pasadena. There is a tunnel, some would say cheating, but probably the best sound I've ever heard. It reminded me of the GT4 race cars.

Anyways, Enjoy!

Sounds great! We do think our cat-backs are a great deal because of the quality with which we construct every piece: All stainless steel and lap-welded construction means they're built to last and give that smooth, deep tone that comes alive when your right foot gets heavy.

Never replied to you, but the exhaust sounds nuts. Thanks again!

That sounds great! What type of Magnaflow? Any droning? I had some Magnaflow cans on my E39 M5 - they were cheap but sounded great. I think many people write them off because they're a "domestic" brand but I feel they do know what they're doing.

Thanks! I'm not to sure how their exhaust works, but what I bought is only for the E92 m3. But if I'm not mistaken, the cans are universal fitment and can be mounted on any car to build your own exhaust set up (correct me if I am wrong). And yes, this is one of the cheapest exhaust out there I think, but at the end of the day it's still $2,000 new.

But I have to saw, the quality of the exhaust in my opinion looks great, the welds look perfect to me and the fitment is spot on.
