Help! SOS & Radio Not Working

I was futzing about in the fuse box looking for a place to hardwire my radar detector. At some point, I started getting the SOS inoperable warning. Shortly thereafter, the radio stopped working. I swear I put all of the fuses back in the right places and made sure they seated correctly, but who knows. I haven't checked to see if bluetooth works. Doubtful since the radio doesn't work.

Where to start?

Incidentally, a week ago I did have my front header apart and started the car without the center light console. I got the SOS inoperable warning then, but it went away as soon as I popped the console back in.

Thoughts? I haven't driven the car. I did disconnect the battery for 5 minutes - but that didn't seem to help.

Thanks.

This may be an extremely silly response but maybe check the fuses you removed to check that they aren't blown?

Your bluetooth is powered by a separate module in your boot so maybe try pairing the phone with the car? (but im also thinking that because the radio is out, the module wont turn on)

Also there is a fuse on the back of the radio, may be worthwhile to check that one too

I did check the fuses I pulled and they did look OK.

When I get back home I'll try to pull the battery for an hour or so (suggestion on another forum search) and hope that helps.

I'll also pull the radio and check that fuse this weekend.

Did you unplug any sensors while you were messing with the fuse box? Could have just left something unplugged or accidentally loosened a sensor.

I could have ham-handed it back there and knocked something loose. There's not really enough visibility to do anything other than make sure the existing fuses are in tight.

OK, I got it solved. There is no fuse on the back of the radio. I swear there was no fuse in location #14 when I started. I added a 15-amp and sure enough everything worked. I even used my magnetic wand and couldn't find any loose fuses.

I ended up using fuse #8 for hardwiring my radar detector.
