Anyone fitted catless downpipes with their MPe?

Would like to know feedback on sound and performance?

Also recommendation on which downpipes to go for.

each brand will sound similar to the other as there aren't many fundamental differences between them as they are all a similar diameter and similar shape/bends.

Does the removal of the secondary cat for the down pipes affect it passing an MOT?

I have this setup. I've been meaning to make more videos but I haven't had the time. The video posted above is me haha.

I've heard the IPE + DP setup. That one is stupid loud. MPE + DP with valves open is pretty damn loud IMO though. I just close up the valve whenever I see a cop

Anyone else modded their MPe with downpipes?

pointless fitting an Akra downpipe as they are dearer than the other 3rd party makes.

In terms of sound , most will sound the same since they are the same size.
I would pick downpipes known to fit without a problem and are reliable ( some companies offer life time warranty with their downpipes).
Evolution Racewerks downpipes are a very good option .

Just got mpe installed today, had akra dp's already. Better sound and much deeper than stock, couldn't be happier. I'll try to get some videos up when I have some time.

I bought them due one of the few companies at the time having a flex section and had the akra evo system on my previous m3. Was very happy with the quality of their products, so went back for some more.

Zima has the OEM style flex section and price very fair. Their quality for top notch.

Here's another option. JB4 and ER DP combo. You can't go wrong with this setup, proven winner.

You'll need JB4 or a CAN connections to clear CEL with DPs. Keep that in mind.

Just installed DPs with my MPE. It's now very loud with the valves open. It sounds pretty good, just very loud and "poppy" over 3k rpm. If you get them, definitely get some sort of EVC to go with them.
