My unbearably stock E92

2011 with just over 26k miles. One of the more, possibly the most, strangely-optioned M3s I've seen: Silverstone Metallic, DCT, sunroof, and Novillo leather. That's it. Manual seats, no USB or even Bluetooth. I'm not sure if it's an option, but it has the nicer 3-series stereo in it (not EPS). I'm not complaining; I think it's part of the car's charm. It lacks the infotainment distraction so prevalent in the driving experience these days. It's almost like a high water mark for an era of sports cars where the technology was being used to draw your attention to the drive rather than being used to make you forget about how bored you are of driving. I love it. I bought this car with the intention of leaving it completely stock, but we'll see how long that lasts.

In the garage at the dealership from which I bought the car and where I am also employed.

The night I took it home

In the garage with my Monster 1100

'12 Civic Si sedan I bought while I was going to school after I got out of the Army that I traded in (fun car for the money)

This is a really bad picture of the near-showroom-new interior

So anyway, that's my car.

thats stock alright. looks like the only option was the dct. sadly, they got the sunroof over the carbon roof. the car should be pretty damn light, but you could always lose the sunroof and ditch about 40lbs off the highest point in the car.

this.

No problems with the car and Silverstone looks fantastic. The only thing is it's got a moonroof, as it could possibly be one of the lightest stock M3's out there. Ohhh that and the DCT.

But anyways, enjoy. I don't think you're missing anything without Navigation, EDC, wheels, or stereo. A M3 is still an M3 after all.

Ain't nothin wrong with being stock! When I returned my stock 335i coupe for the M3, I thought it looked darn good. It's aggressive as it is compared to a base 3 series and it still looks great being bone stock. Hope you have many more enjoyable years with her!

premium sound is pretty damn good, but i don't think i would care if i had a light weight m3.

get that roof converted to carbon, get a lightweight exhaust, and maybe some lighter wheels and you will have a smokin fast car.

I actually like having a sunroof on my daily. I think I understand exactly what the original owner was trying to accomplish with this car. The only two things I would've really liked to have that it doesn't are Bluetooth and comfort access, but I bought an ear piece thingy and having to pull the key out of my pocket isn't that bad. As far as the aftermarket goes, BBS CH is at the top of my list of wheels being considered, exhaust I'm still researching but leaning toward Active Autowerke, but the Akrapovic is also in the running for consideration. I am sure about which coilovers I want: Öhlins road and track. Other than that, probably a Mode Carbon V1 and call it a day. None of that will happen for quite some time though.

Great looking ride! I love Bluetooth so not having this might drive me crazy...along with EPS. An exhaust will wipe away any concerns for EPS and I thought you could get a Bluetooth adapter? Congrats

I can have bluetooth added at the dealership for somewhere around a grand or so. I may do it, but I'd rather put that money into something more fun or something aesthetic like the aforementioned MC V1 lip. We'll see. I haven't even made my first car payment yet, so it'll be a while before I'm putting money into it. I say that, but I've bought parts for cars I hadn't even bought yet. I'm really bad about keeping cars stock. It's almost an impossibility for me.

Congratulations....the car looks great.
I think sunroof is great option....who cares about 40lbs unless you race on a track.

You'll want that bluetooth...for Pandora and other streaming radio/video...

Very nice - I have a soft spot for low option cars, and actually really like the 18s. I wish I had them, but the Competition Package wheels are a reasonable consolation prize.

Cloth seats, no nav and a manual here - enjoy the car!

Pretty cool... I just can't believe you don't have Bluetooth at minimum. ZCP wheels look so good on Silverstone, my only gripe. I'm a fan of the sunroof, feel like you gotta have real balls to say no to the CF roof.

I like the 18s as well. I think this looks like the gentleman's M3. I think I'll end up sticking with 18s in the form of 18x10/11 EC-7s in race silver and 275/295-35s. I'm sure plenty of people will disagree with this, but I think the chrome grills and gills with silver wheels look the best on Silverstone. Every single other color this car comes in looks better with black accents, but this one responds better aesthetically to silver and chrome in my opinion. Thanks for the comments, all!

As far as EPS goes, I was actually looking into a MusiCar upgrade whether I ended up getting EPS or not, so it's actually somewhat advantageous that it didn't have it as it would've been a terrible waste.

Well in that case you are exactly right. That is a nice sounding system that I still kind of want. So can you order the system and install yourself? I always thought installation in Portland was key.

I'm pretty sure just about any half way competent shop could do the install. I'm certain I could do it if necessary. That said, best case scenario would be planning a week off to take a road trip to Portland and having them install it. I've always wanted to visit Portland anyway.
