What is it considered to be a "full bolt-on" BMW M4?
Hey guys I created an article on the BMW M4 because well.. it's a completely badass car. Any of you fuckers who have one are lucky as hell.
My first car was a 2001 BMW 330ci. I loved that thing BMW culture is badass. Anyways I want to bring this article to the attention of you guys because I want you to correct me if anything is wrong! lol Or if I'm missing anything, info is wrong. Please make fun of me and what I did wrong. Ok so here is the article: http://fullboltons.com/bmw-m4-perfor...-quarter-mile/ The point of this website is to expose the full potential of enthusiast vehicles when full bolt-on status is achieved. Thanks to any responses in advanced

At this point you can't even have a FBO car in my opinion. We have exhaust, downpipes, intakes, and tunes along with the turbo upgrade being fine tuned. I don't think the would justify a FBO car just yet.

Exhaust, downpipe, intake, and tune would qualify as FBO for the F8x... For the N54, throw in the intercom let and that would be considered FBO.

But turbo upgrades for a turbo car could technically be just "bolted on" So it kind of could be consider full bolt on. I plan to make a separate section on the website for "turbo swap" full bolt on builds.

Bolt on is something that you can easily replace without doing too much work or modification to the car. Like intake, tunes, exhaust, and downpipes. Some like to consider meth a bolt on too but not in my books

IMHO.... Everything below methanol injection and turbo replacements.
i.e. Exhaust (Dump pipe back), Intake (if you really want), Tune (Max out the boost efficiency map of the stock turbos through either Flash or Piggy)

Dinan makes a higher efficiency air/water intercooler for the F10 M5. I'm sure they and other companies will start coming out with them for the F8x fairly soon.

Water to Air intercooler modification/upgrade seems like a more involved and more permanent modification than a Water/Meth injection system. Those injection systems can be removed (un-bolted) rather easily.
