BMS OBDII CAN Module

Just received the module for the exhaust, active sound, halo brightness, gotta say, for the money it's spot on.

Although installation was confusing and difficult, took in access of 23 seconds to install, I'd recomend it to anyone that wants more control over these items.

Unsure. The only issue, which I've emailed them about is the lack of reference sheet. Awaiting reply.

The videos on their site, are nice enough but a but more written info is necessary, in my opinion.

I'd like to have a single sheet, detailing what is done at each tach number, and the corresponding blinker action, for storage in the glovebox.

It can clear codes, but not actively (i.e. won't prevent a CEL if you're running catless downpipes).

The BMS JB4 do actively clear CEL if you have a catless in the car.

Yes the JB4 does, but not the standalone CAN Flap module.

But does the tool continuously reset the check engine light, being programed to do that ?
Because clearing the fault code for emissions would only stay off until the factory computer runs its emission test for catalytic convertor.
So if you had a CEL on for a engine sensor for example, the tool would reset that fault lamp and you would never know that you have more fault codes unless you took the time to actually scan your engine computer randomly ?

Based on my experience, it only clears the O2 sensor fault code.
I had another check engine light issue on my F10 before and I got confused why since I have JB4 in the car.
Then I check the code, it was for faulty thermostat.
You may want to ask BMS for the exact way it works, but above is based on my experience.

Correct . It will clear the DP error only.
You will still get an engine light if you had other issues with your car.

So I can confirm this will clear the CEL for catless Dp's and it will not return for the Dp's?

No Singh. The OBDII CAN Flap module is mainly for controlling the exhaust flaps (e.g. to have them open at cold start and in other modes than Sport+ when they're mostly open anyway). It has other functions as well, one of which is to clear codes on demand, but it doesn't actively clear codes.

Per Terry (BMS):

"There is a code delete function but keep in mind removing emissions equipment is not legal unless you're talking about a competition race car used only in competitive events. Deleting the codes will NOT set readiness or anything like that."

The JB4 (which is a tune, not a standalone module like the OBDII port CAN Flap module) used to have a DP fix add-on, but I don't think Terry sells it anymore after the CARB fiasco. However, it should auto-clear codes.
