Finally got my MPE - BUUTTT...

I've ordered my MPE about 2 weeks ago. Everything came except the Rear Diffuser (also from performance). They told my this part will come earliest mid april. So I decided let's already install the MPE today. I went there - everthing was fine. I really enjoyed the sound while driving home, really like the sound of the MPE. I was struggling to decide to get MPE, Eisenmann or Akra, but as I am from switzerland and the full eisenamm and akra are not legal here, I decided for MPE. I do not regret my choice after driving and hearing it today on my way home. However when I got home from my about 80miles ride I figured out something was wrong when I got out of the car --> ONE OF MY 4 CARBON TIPS WAS LOST

It seems like they did not mount it properly, otherwise I cannot imagine how this could happen. Waiting for a feedback from my dealership tomorrow, hope to get a new one asap because it looks sh*****.

Wow that sucks. I'm sorry. They had better replace it. I got my MPE installed about two weeks ago and my tips are on just fine.

Looks like someone at your dealer forgot to tighten a screw.

Another example of DIY. If you want it done right.... Plus it's more fun to do the work yourself.

I wish, It's just kind of hard to install an exhaust without a lift...

It's common. That's why there were ZERO CF tips available a couple months ago. They pulled them from the shelves.

Happened to a client of mine, and it wasnt tightened properly. I know some of the techs dont check them once installed. Before i deliver cars with MPE i yank on the tips as hard as i can to make sure they are stuck on.

My dealership covered the price of the "lost" Tip for the client. Try asking them if theyd be willing to work something like that out.

They are held on by a torq screw that, if tightened properly, secures them well.

Congrats on purchase

Just wait, the sound keeps improving as it breaks-in. It takes quite a some time to get the full sound .

Sucks about your lost tip . I wish you prompt resolution with your dealer.

You can go with a different diffusor for sure since the M Performance is on back order.

Sorry to see the tip flew off, definitely need a replacement asap!
