Which would you upgrade with?
What's the deal regarding warranty if I go povic?
Thanks one and all.

No warranty issues with either. Both are awesome exhausts, try to hear them in person before deciding if possible.

Seems there are plenty of threads out there discussing the different exhaust options. All comes down to your price point and tone preference. Id try to meet up with some locals to hear in person if possible

BMW Sweden does NOT recommend the AKRA system it has melted plastic and carbon fiber in the rear.
BMW Titanium is the way to go!

Do you have pictures? If this is true, people are laying out 6K for a melted rear end

Its all really personal preference of which one you like best. They both sound awesome, both titanium, and both pricey!

Both are high quality products. I prefer Akrapovic because of how easy it is to install and the sounds it produces. Quiet when you want it, but a beast WOT

What are the gains (if any) from the M Performance system?

slightly off topic but between the AWE, Remus Eisenmann, and MPE, which would be the least expensive and which would be the best bang for the buck?

thanks

Remus would be best bang for the buck, the quality is simply outstanding for the cost.

Another one is RPI... It's a full non valved system that is high quality, sounds awesome, and its very affordable.

Of the choices I would have to say AWE. AWE is less than Remus for the downpipe back system, and it sounds a hell of a lot meaner. Check Money2536 videos for reference

No gains noticed on the dyno. It is a bit lighter based on the information provided by EAS. (About 17lbs lighter)

This is good info. So the Akro system would not void the warranty. This is the system I'm looking at, with the MPE a close second.

Any links to this recommendation or pictures. I find this hard to believe as I have not heard of one case except for your post and the MPE is just about a mirror copy.

It is ultimately the dealers call on what mods will void your warranty. Have you talked to yours about modifying your exhaust?

Not yet, but good point. It won't be until this summer though so some time aways. I figure they may be more accepting of some over others. Maybe not, in the end they'll want to promote ///M parts I assume.

I have yet to hear of a story in which a warranty was voided for an Akrapovic system. M Performance is also an excellent system to hear in person.

Here's the M-Performance system on the dyno running through the gears.
