r888 sizing help

I have a set of te37sl in 18x9.5+22 and 18x10.5+20. since im in California I plan on running rs3's all year round but for the summer time coming up I wanted to run some r888's but I cant find the perfect sizing so im stuck between option 1. 265/35 and 295/30 or option 2. 275/35 and 305/35. would I be better off with option 1 or option 2? thanks in advance guys

Im also interested. Hoping the 305 is a non issue, because thats what is needed. Id actually really like to put a 315 if possible.

Option 2 is probably the best choice, with #1 you would have a taller tire in front then in the rear, which is likely to cause issues with the stability control and ABS systems. If you choose 315s, then the fronts would need to be 285s based on 18" sizes available. All of those size should fit on 9.5" and 10.5" wheels, but I do not know about the offsets. I am going with 295/19 fronts and 325/19 rears and they fit under the fenders on stock suspension, but fronts are a little tight, so I will do another test fitment next week.

Would a 305 fit in the rear with lowered suspension? Or better yet what would be the correct offset and tire size to
Get that to fit

I see what you mean about tire height. what if I went 255/35 and 295/30? those are both 25.1 in overall diameter. thanks!

I honest do not know what the proper offsets would be, but I know it would fit. Best to ask the wheel vendors for this information.

There have been few discussions on this, I maintain a point of view that the best approach is to stay as close to stock 0.6" height difference between front and rear for the sake of electronics, but this is not based on any first-hand experience with BMWs.

Sean at PSI can probably give the best feedback as he is/was running this setup on his car.

From my experience, option two will be the best in terms of driving and fitment

Garage List
I run r888's. They run wide. my 265/35/18 r888's are equally as wide as my 275/35/18 r-s3's. I would run option 1.

As others have suggested - I would not go 315 with the R888 unless you're running at least an 11" wheel. I have a set of 315's on a 18x11 wheel and they look almost like bulge. You could really argue that an 11.5" wheel would have been better for them.

10.5" would look silly.

We are running these 11 et32 w 285/30/20. Your 10.5 et20 will stick out another 6mm.

Going to be REALLY CLOSE w 10.5 et20 and 285 30 18

If you have an issue you can shave the backpad of the wheel a little to pull it in. Maybe 3-4 mm....
