Leather dashboard M3 e93
Hi all,
I’m in progress of covering with leather nappa all parts of the dashboard, upper side of the doors and middle console(with the airbag) of the steering wheels(all parts that stock are in plastic). And little tuning of the steering wheel as well(you will see it next week I hope) and finally carbon cover of the plastic cupholders. Today I post pictures of the already done upper dashboard and in next days I will post the other elements... IMO it is now amazing!!! The goal is not to make the car look racing but more luxury what is more of the character convertible IMO The plastic upper dashboard was something that I really can't accept in car for 100k+ EUR price as new. And I was really surprised that BMW doesn’t offer it even as an optional equipment. In Audi and Merc, Porsch it is optional or even standard for S/RS and AMG models. To be continued… |

wow, that looks really good.
how did you get your hands on the extra Nappa leather? Can you buy it in rolls? How much did you end up using to do the dash?

I meant, was this a BMW original leather on the dashboard?

Looks incredible!
Another idea is adding leather sun visors. My fathers M6 cabrio has them and it's a beautiful touch

When you get a chance, post a picture where the 2 "humps" meet eachother. I have never seen a good option as far as the stitching when crossing 2 seams like that. I notice they tailed your stitch half way onto the flat surface of the first NAV hump, so im curious as to what they did!
Thanks Alex |
