Can the exhaust valve mod be bad for the car?

Sorry if this has been discussed before, but I'm highly considering doing the exhaust valve mod (making the flaps open all of the time).

I am just wondering if there could be any repercussions; I mean BMW must have made it so the flaps open and close for a reason.

Any comments? Thanks guys!

Because cold start is so damn loud with valves open.

It's also there to eliminate drone.
With valve always open, you will get drone even on stock exhaust (between 1.8-2.1k rpm).

No harm at all. Either unplug the valves or install the Macht Schnell EVC module to have control at will.

Just a lot of drone with catless downpipes. I got annoyed and took it off. Plus button completely makes its actual use impossible.

You can get the can flap module by burger tuning for $200 if you don't plan on getting downpipes

No harm to your car with the valves open
