OBDII CAN Module Boost in Dash DEMO
Hey guys,
Another little DEMO video for you. This one is a teaser for the upcoming in dash boost gauge. Currently it's setup to show boost on the fuel gauge, but they are also experimenting with other implementations and settings. So expect some user adjustable preferences there. I would love it if they could also add ignition advance in dash so non-CANbus tunes can monitor knock. Note that boost is read via the OBDII so if you're running a piggyback you won't see the true boost, unless that piggyback happens to be a BMS Stage1, as BMS has programmed an option in to the gauge to correct the boost readout for those running their Stage1 tune. Other features being explored now include "max cool" mode like they offer on the N54 and a user adjustable shift light perhaps using the turn signal indicators or even the interior gong. |

Honestly, why not just get a mechanical boost gauge. It's easy, simple, it works, and there's nothing to interfere with the computer and more importantly the fuel gauge. It's a very neat feature don't get me wrong, but using a fuel gauge to measure boost? C'mon man

This is a feature you can just turn on and off from your drivers seat. And if you already have the OBDII CAN module for the exhaust flapper, or active sound delete, then it's free. Plus when you want you just unplug it in seconds and the car is 100% stock. Perfect for leases. Just as an update BMS is hard at work getting all the bugs worked out of this new feature and will be looking for people to help test it soon. They have a OBDII CAN module thread on their forum where they post firmware, updates, etc, so anyone interested in test it out should throw up a post there. Mike |

A little annoyed at the CAN flap button. You should have to press it down longer. Extremely annoying when your using the button for its actual function, and clearing your fuel economy. Any way to get this fixed?

Just read BMS is testing out LED angel eye control with the CAN Module. So in addition to exhaust flapper control, active sound control, and an in dash boost gauge, there will be a user adjustable setting to make your LED HALOs brighter at night. Crazy!

I'd like to see this in person; I know it can be coded in, just wanna see it. The standard brightness of HALO's is fine, but it may be cool
