Help: plastic key and oil access plate

i did not get my Z from a bmw dealer and it did not come with the blue plastic emergency key. does anyone know how much it would cost to order one from the dealer?? i wanna find out from you guys before i make calls...


also


ive noticed there is a cover plate missing underneath the car. i believe it is the plate that covers the access to the oil drain plug. ive tried to search the realoem.com site but have no idea where it is...please help me!!

Depending on how much the dealer wants to rip you off, the piece of plastic (key) is $60-$80. Takes about 5 days to be ordered, original not needed.

Sounds about right, I paid roughly 70 for my emergency key. If you want another key with remote those run 2-300.

It is a Valet key, not an emergency key.

What good would a plastic key do in an emergency anyway?

it's very hard plastic, so in an emergency, I can shave it down and poke people with it.

Mine was $76. Ordered on Monday, had it Wednesday morning.

Ok here is another part im looking for... when you open the hood there is a black plastic piece that connects under the hood towards the windshield. i believe it prevents water from getting inside the hood via lower windshield area.
