TPMS compatibility 2009 e92 m3 with ZCP wheels
I just got a set of ZCP wheels with the TPMS from a 2011+ m3
Will the TPMS from ZCP wheels 2011+ work with my 2009? My stock 19" rims have the TPMS from 2009. Will I need to swap the old TPMS to the ZCP rims? |

BMW changed to a new TPMS frequency in 2010 which required a different monitor. You will need to swap your old TPMS onto the new wheels (or buy new monitors). TireRack sells TPMS monitors and valves for around $220 (same manufacturer as OEM).

The frequency is still 433 mhz, has not changed, but the programing in the sensor did, and this is why sensors are not interchangable.
You can take the sensors from the other set of wheels, and you will have to pay to have the wheels broken down to get them. or you can pick up a new set of HUF Intellisens. inexpensively. |
