How do you define "better"?
What is better for you... cost, quiet, comfort or grip. If it is grip, then none of the above as there are WAY better choices.

1. Bridgestone Potentza RE-11 2. Yokohama AD-08R 3. Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 4. Toyo R888 As you go down my list, the grip gets better but you give up comfort, sound and wet traction. For a mainly street tire, I would pick #1 or #2. The only caveat for #1 is you have to go with a 285 rear instead of stock 275 but that doesn't really matter. There are other tires too... especially if you want something more dedicated for the track or dragstrip.

I have the ad08r on my m4. They are a bit louder than stock, but not terrible. They also have a much stiffer ride. I don't mind it at all but if you prefer a more comfortable and cushy ride you may be unhappy.
I believe the grip and traction are better, but I have not done any formal testing. Also wet traction is much better than I had expected. I don't notice any decrease from the stock tires on wet roads. Good luck |
