Curbed my 19" black wheels

The place I took them to can't figure out what the contrast color on the spokes is. Anyone know or have any suggestions? They are a high quality shop and do a lot if BMW wheels, but the wheel isn't in their database yet.

It's not bad and it's on the passenger side so I don't need to see it, but knowing it's there makes me need to fix it.

The dealer damaged my wheel during the 1200 mile service and is currently repairing the damage... If I can get over there before the repair guy leaves i'll ask him what he used.

Thanks. I have them searching for the paint code, but may wind up just putting them back on the car until they figure it out.

So, the shop couldn't fix them so they're back on the car until I find someone who can match them. If anyone has a source let me know.

You'd have the same problem with silver wheels. They have the same paint scheme as the black wheels, meaning that there is a painted portion of the wheel (either black or silver (gray really)) and an unpainted/machined portion.

The machined portion is unpainted, but clear coated. A wheel repair shop would need to sand/polish and re-clear a damaged section. I don't think that filler is an option with the 19" wheels as it'll never polish up like the unpainted aluminum.

such a careless dealer. I would be so heated.

I think the silver contrast is polised silver.
