11. Fog Lights remain on when high beams are active. Can be turned off manually...
12. Added the vehicle’s current speed to the BC cycle list (Displays on KOMBI screen).
For an extra $500 he installed a pre/mapped/canned ECU stage 1 which added HP and TQ.
I have a BMS intake and he coded it in so that there's no ECU error.

I performed mod on "M Performance logo startup" on my car and get a warning from Authorized Workshop that my car could loose warranty because that's the first sign of software modification.

Scare tactic.

They CAN refuse the warranty if the CHANGES you did affected the specific part the warranty is for. They have to prove that the changes you made caused an issue.

For example: A TUNE is a software modification to the DME/Gearbox that voids engine/gearbox warranty but just for those two parts.

They still have to prove that.

Changing a displayed logo is voiding a warranty for what exactly? The digital logo? The logo is going to void the warranty how exactly? Is it a magic spell logo that will make my car spit fire?

You can either ask them which warranty clause voids software modification relating to visual changes in a logo OR you could just ignore it and do what you want since this will not damage anything that they can prove, or that they can't fix with a simple software update/reset.

P.S: Your workshop might just refuse you because you challenged them and beat their scare tactic ?

My dealership here in Montreal, Quebec, Canada knows my car and I have an excellent relationship with my service manager and CSR. They have no reason to void my warranty. In fact I'm in to my last year of my lease and intend to keep the car an additional 2 years because of my low mileage (kms) due to the pandemic and lockdowns. I'm only at 33k Kms after 3 years which is half the expected kms. Many used vehicles especially the M sports cars with low mileage are selling for more used than ordering a new one which could take up to 6 months now too. I'll probably get an electric BMW when they're available in 3 years. I'll buy out my residual value as the my X1 with all my add ons and goodies will probably be worth more much more than the buy back next year in January. BTW my dealership service is always excellent.

It is not a beginner skill.

You would have to generate ncd's using coding verification. Save them as fwl. And then use something like beyond compare to do side-by-side.

Hi guys, I didi some coding (rear fog lights, removed legal disclaimer, changed language of Idrive & cluster, close rear hatch from fob)
CAr is 2016 with premium package: full LED, folding mirrors (they working now with button on drivers side)

What I can't code - hope you know the answer:

Then code the control units according to SA.

I am planning to change front 2 wheels which have bad curb damage with wheels+alloys that I bought from eBay. The new set came off another BMW X1 so they are exactly same spec.

My car has the following options
S2VB Tyre Pressure Display
S28A BMW LA Wheel, Y-Spoke 569

When I put the new set on, do I have to code the RDC sensors via ESys or ISATA to work with my cars Tyre pressure display system or they are plug and play.

Failing that, can just swap the RDC sensors from old to new wheels?

Should just be able to go into idrive and reset tpms and be good to go.

Hi everyone,

I've recently picked up a 2017 xDrive25D, it's a fairly unexciting spec, so I'm keen to retrofit a couple of bits, some of which needs coding.

So far I've added the auto-dimming rear view mirror, but believe I need to code option 431 to the vehicle order.

I've also fitted the 390mm M Performance brakes to the front, which I gather needs coding too, I think from what I can see with 'SPBR', albeit that may not be in the vehicle order and may be elsewhere.

I've been doing some looking around for several weeks now, but can't find any diffinitive guides on coding these with eSys for F48, so is anyone here able to help, either with knowing how to code these, or alternatively having an up to date guide for an F48.

From following other guides for different Fxx cars, I can get to the last step where I've made changes to the V/O, but then (as I understand it) need to code it to various modules/ECUs and this is the bit I seem to fail at.

Any help would be much appreciated, cheers!
