This is a huge help, thanks for posting the part numbers. One appears to be the cosmetic trim piece, the other is an "adapter" that bolts to the car, and the screen to it.
I wasn't even aware that X1's came with 10.25" screens until you posted this. I'll see if I can get my hands on one of these CID's (they seem pricey) or otherwise fit the G30 style screen, which this trim and adapter could help with (along with a little modification of the parts). The X1 screen seems to be more like the G30 style than F15, so if I can't find the X1 screen, I'll get the G30. |

Hi, does anyone know if the current Android 10.25" screens are actually reliable now?
I'm debating whether to retrofit an 8.8" original CID or an Android one to get CarPlay on my 2017 X1. Thanks |

Hi,
Newbie question. Just picked up slightly used 2018 X1. 6.5 screen. I don't think it has NAV. VIN Decoder: head unit: ENAVEVO. Also don't see option for Sirixus XM. Anyone know if NAV can be added? Sirius XM for that matter? Thx in advance. |

if no wlan port, you can get an MMI box but replacing HU which requires coding which folks on this forum can help. |

Is there a guide anywhere that lists all the parts needed for a display upgrade from 6.5 to 8.8 for a US spec vehicle? Finding everything I need, and ensuring they are the right parts, seems to be the challenging part.

https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/sho...diagId=65_3245 The only other thing you need is the trim that lays under the display which you can fin here (n. 5, the widescreen versions should all be the same, Part number: 51459292128): https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/sho...diagId=51_2907 |

1. OEM screen from a wrecked model, use bimmercode or otherwise to extend screen to wide screen format. 400ish for a used screen. Then buy an MMI module from Bimmertech or otherwise for android auto functions. 2. Android screen, 8.8, 10.25 and even the new 12s from AvinUSA or similar for 500ish, and get pretty much all the functions you want. Still want to code with Bimmercode too. 3. Go BIG and get a complete OEM head unit transplant and coding from Bimmertech, at 3kish. I will be working on option 2 at LEAST along with a bunch of other upgrades in a 2017 X1 here soon. I will have full DIY videos for the work when done!
