Delayed Climate Control (cooling)
I understand in the winter, my auto climate control delays before increasing the fan speed. However, I noticed the cooling is also delayed in starting. In my E90, the A/C starts blowing cold air almost right away but my F32 seems wait a couple minutes before increasing the fan speed. Is this normal in the F30/F32 lines?

If it's warm air inside the A/C and it's on Auto, it will not increase the blowers until cooled so it doesn't blow hot air in your face. So that's normal in the F30. But try as the last poster said and put on Max A/C. Should blow air pretty fast.

I can't seem to get the fan to auto adjust (auto is lit) the blower speeds for the AC either. I can keep auto on and manually increase or decrease the fan speed without it taking it off auto but it never auto adjusts the fan speed.

I noticed the same thing. I assumed it was something to do with the a/c now being electric, perhaps it has to wait for the battery to start receiving enough amps from the alternator, which itself is now some sort of smart gizmo that decides when and how to charge.

It doesn't seem to work well on my 435i either, I thought the whole idea of auto was that it set the fan speed, but it never blows hard unless I tell it to

So when you increase the level of Auto, it doesn't increase the fan speed, just the intensity. On a side note, if you are using ASS, and your engine is switched off due to ASS, your A/C fan speed will slowly reduce because the engine is no longer running, meaning the A/C isn't running.

Also, when you set the fan speed, you are only setting the max speed you would like the computer to use when needed. If you have the fan speed set to low, it will never go any higher, but if you set it on high, the computer will adjust the fan speed as neede from low to high.

Normal as others have stated, the car won't blow hot air at you so the delay is for the compressor to work the refrigerant and get it flowing.

It still does. It's just that you can set the max speed it will use. It can still use lower speeds than the one you set.

It was my error. I wrote something and then realized that I misinterpreted your original post. I removed my comment as I couldn't delete the entire post from the app.
