Unintended trunk opening.

Has anyone else WITHOUT comfort access ever had their trunk open without any user action?

It's happened twice on mine in the last week, but it seems random so I'm not sure what's actually causing it, and I doubt a dealer could reproduce intentionally.

It's happened to me twice (I have Comfort Access), but I think it was due to it being in my pocket and somehow I accidentally pressed the button. Once it happened while I was driving.. so embarrassing So now I leave the keys in the cup holder while I drive

The first time someone walked by very close to my car, so if I had comfort access I could understand if they set it off by accident. The second time though my car was locked outside and my key was hanging up.... I'm still drawing a blank as to what could cause that.

Garage List
This has happened to me twice. I came back to the car in the morning and the trunk was open. I'm pretty sure that I brushed the trunk button when I hit the close button the fob, but never looked back to notice. Now I always look back after locking with the fob.

Normally caused if you leave the key in your pocket and knock it.

I have the key cover to stop it.

:-( I have one already, but the skinny screw device that holds it together broke. Guess I may need to get a new one.

Thanks!

It happened to me as well...I was pretty freaked out. I also had the window thing happen to me, where all the windows and sunroof were opened. I really hope I pressed the button and its not something malfunctioning. I'm a non comfort access.

Easily happens, carry the keys in pockets, carrying the keys in hands with other items in your hands or just in your hands and accidentally bump the fob. All of those and more and between my wife and i have had no less than 6 times where trunk was open. Just need to be careful.
