Made my "D" rear emblem green…

so I'm in the process of converting the car back to white (after being wrapped for a year in gunmetal)…and had to order new emblems in that the old ones came off with the wrap….I ordered all new in black but also saved the old "d" and painted it green….trunk spoilers (M3 and performance style…ill figure out which one I want shortly) are in being painted gloss black and not in pics

I think I like the green - but I've only lived with it a day - the black "d" emblem is sitting here staring at me - so we'll see

It's a cool touch and I like it but at 70mph on the highway I'm not sure others will be able to distinguish.

I find it is even hard to distinguish an "i" from a "d" on the 335s when one drives past. May be that d should be a brighter green.

The d should light up green, use a green led light...

I agree. You really gotta open your eyes to catch the "d". Otherwise, you can always keep your ears open to hear the silent torque monster pass by!

I like it on your white diesel. It would not work for me, though, on blue.

Nice job, cheers

Did you take it off to paint? Or just use tape? If you did take off...what did you use to put it back on?

Yes took it off, took off the tape residue off the back....used double stick tape from Home Depot (red peel off backing) then used xacto blade to trim...and stuck it on
