Lots of heat from the steering column

Hey guys is it normal for heat to soak through into the interior? I can feel heat around the bottom left side of where the steering column goes into the dash. It's nothing crazy, but it is definitely noticeable when putting my hand there.

Just wondering what you all think?

Thanks,
DC

The premium package has the heated steering wheel, but the sport package only gets the heated steering column

Normal if you have a 335. The exhaust is routed underneath and along side of center console. Lots of heat in that area and the insulation does not fully block it.

Wasn't there an issue with an hvac flap being open or not closing all the way causing heat to dump into drivers footwell? I have the same issue, ill try and dig up the thread.
