Ac Not Cold Enough !!
Two days ago, I had to take my dog to the vette. And it was very hot day... So i put the AC On auto at 16 degrees both sides. It took like 5 mintues for the AC to kick in. It wasn't cold enough. Like on my dad's benz...once you hit the AC button on full blast, you'll freeze. So, my quetion is it possible to get it colder ??

Try this:
http://mobile.walmart.com/ip/AC-Pro-...erant/20461354 If it improves your AC, then there is a small leak in your system that needs to be addressed. The above is just a temp remedy for your sweaty ass. |

I've never done it on my Bimmer, so look up a DIY incase there's some specific procedure for these cars. If it the cooling performance trails off again then you likely have a leak somewhere and need to replace a hose/fitting/o-ring somewhere in the system. |

Here's a DIY
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...ht=refrigerant There should be a sticker under the hood that lists the type of refrigerant. I'm pretty sure all cars built since like the '90s use R134a. Just check anyways in case zee Germans want you to use some fancy German refrigerant. |

Unless the car is old as shit, it's R134.
My a/c takes like 5 seconds to get cold, so I'm assuming yours is low. |

my car doesnt cool off very fast either. even at its peak "coldness" its still not that cold. i even asked the BMW SA to take a look at it. he "recharged" it or whatever, and its still the same. no change.

The AC in our cars isn't really that great to begin with, and I just got a new AC Compressor, Evaporator, and Dryer, it takes a couple miles to really work, at least I think so.
