Coupe and sedan share same dashboard?

I have a 2007 e92 coupe. 335i. I do not have idrive. I want to buy a dashboard from an idrive car.

Do the sedan and coupe share the same dashboard?

I found a nice dashboard from a wrecked 4 door 335i. Same year and same color. Just want to make sure its the same before i go through all this trouble.

I'm almost certain that every dash in the E9X line is the same.

Coupe and sedan are definitely the same.

Not sure about the convertibles but i would assume so.

One thing to note. Early 07 cars have a slightly bigger shaped cluster. It still fits in but the bolt holes don't line up. Mine is perfect with just a press-fit. No bolts needed.

I switched a slightly newer dashboard into my car with idrive and i have the old cluster with the low max oil temp reading on the gauge.

Not sure if you care, but the heated seat controls are on the lower part of the dash on the pre-LCI models (where if you had window shades, PDC, etc., would be), I cannot confirm the cutoff dates - maybe someone can? . The heated seat controls on the LCI, are next to the temp controls up top.

My pre-LCI E92 is early MY 2009 (10/2008 I think) production and it still has the heated seat controls down low.

I'd be tempted to put an Android tablet in the dash rather than idrive, but that's just me.

I converted my 2007 e92 to idrive. I put in the pre-lci system right now just because i got it cheap and i just wanted to do the conversion already after buying the dashboard.

You actually need alot less parts to do the conversion then you would think. So it was easy for me. Ive taken dashs out of other cars, motor swaps. So for someone handy its not hard at all. With the pdf guide made by booster going over the wiring it makes its soo easy.

I had it done in a day. And i wired it to the way an idrive car would come from the factory. Tapping into correct locations and junction boxes.

Btw i have my non idrive just sitting in my attic if anyone would like to buy it. Its black. Absolutely mint.

Do you have a guide for all of the coding required?

Idk how much a red dot sight goes for, but it sounds like you got a pretty god deal if it included the idrive system.

Im currently just using my CCC idrive system for now until i do my NBT retrofit.... Or break down and lease a new 235i haha.

I drove the 228i at the BMW UDE this past weekend. Got to drive a 228i msport on an autocross track. Such a fun car. I was so impressed. I have a manual now and i actually really like the auto in that car.
