Yup, it's out now, a few days ahead of schedule too! I've just gotten my copy and it's a whole lot heavier than I expected it to be, about seven pounds.

For what it's worth, the manual also includes coverage for the 2012 E92 and E93 models.

Does it now cover the very common failures ? I have found the older edition to be lacking in the most useful jobs (like various oil leaks).

Yes, it is. We cover the procedure on pages 119-24 through 119-27 of the new edition.

These went hardback? I still have my e34 manual from like 15 years ago, great stuff!

This looks muchos better than the Haynes manuals we get in the UK (printed with 16 DPI or so it seems).

However, no diesel :-(

I have the original silver version which is fine since I have a 2007. However, to be completely honest, I almost never use it because the DIYs we have here in the forum are so much better! Granted, that's IF there's a DIY for what you need at the moment and that's not always the case. I do appreciate the torque specs and fluid fill levels they list, though.

Any major differences between the 2011 and 2013 model years? I drive a 2013 e92. Or should I wait until my car is out of warranty and by then maybe the 2013 book will be out.

Figures.....I just bought the 2010 book last month.

Since I have a 2010, I guess that's ok. (at least I'll tell myself that)

Sometimes it's hard to find the DIY you need in the forums, because searches aren't perfect, and sometimes not intuitive. But you can always ask for help and someone seems to always know the answers.

I've ordered a new manual myself, hopefully there are part numbers in the diagrams for ordering replacements.

does the new one still tell people to use anti-seize on the plugs, and when they break in the cyl head, and clown pops out with laughing sounds?

No, because BMW stopped making good 335's after 2010.
