Email notification of subscribed threads

Ok, every time I post to a thread, I am essentially subscribing myself to that thread. I also have an option ticked that says I will receive an instant email notification when someone replies to that thread. Does anyone else have this option ticked... its just that for November I have received around 1200 emails from the forum! I'm starting to think its time to turn off this instant email notification. Do you guys have this?

Its not that much of a problem, as I have my email client filter the forum messages into a separate folder, but looking back to September, there are around 3500 messages from the forum.

Just turned the option off. To be honest I'm used to dealing with huge amounts of email at work every day, although I have a standard way of handling it... click the forward button and type: "...can you deal with this please"

Now I wish I'd worked out how to auto-function that!

My work e-mails are directed straight into the Junk mail folder.
I'm far to lazy to hit the forward button and have to write!
Hence I have a relatively easy ride.
