335is vs 3 Corvettes C6

Ok guys so my mods are the following.

JB4 G5 ISO
AFE Intake
ER CP W/ HKS BOV
Backend flash for E85

My brother and two friends have corvettes and they wanted to race against my car. So I had just added 7gal of E85 and the rest of 91.

First race was against a C6 with the following mods.

Intake
Borla Exhaust

We race from a roll 40, oh boy does my car pulls... Lol I beat him by a car.

Second race against the second C6 and mods are,

Intake
Exhaust (don't know what kind)

We raced from a 40 and I beat him by a half a car.

Third race against my brothers C6 with mods,

Tune
Intake
Exhaust

We raced from a 40 and we were dead even! We raced from 60 and he beat me by half a car...

I'm happy how my car did against those three C6!

C6's came with a LS2 up until 2008.
I assume these were LS3's?

you raced pure LS2's I assume, if 6 speed those vettes are no joke specially if they are tuned and have at least headers, tune and a good driver, some trap upwards 120mph and run mid to low 12s with bolt ons

Definitely exciting to hear about what the tunes for the N54 can dish out. Can't wait to order my upgrades soon.. Grats on the great runs. I was born in Gardena. Had fam in Compton. Had a few good years in Hawthorne. Miss the coast and that medicinal.

What speed did these races end at? My C6 pulls much harder than my 335 at higher speeds.

LS1's are in the C5's (97-04).
LS2's are in the C6's from 05-07.

LS3 is the only way to go.
LS2 vettes are meh.

If I was them, I'd pull a trigger on a C7 instead.

Good job. Downpipes will probably put your car into a different league.

Good runs. I've raced quite a few C6's and theyre not joke, especially Z06's with mods.

I had no problem keeping up with with a stock c6 ls2. BMW underrates their cars whereas Chevrolet overrates their cars.
60-110 I was side by side with the Vette. After 110 he started pulling on me. I didn't even care he pulled on me at the end; it was great seeing his face and knowing he was thinking "Holy Sh**! Is that 4 door 5 series keeping up with my Vette!?!"

chevy doesnt overrate the LS engines. LS1s typically dyno what they are rated at the flywheel. LS2's dyno around 350-360 stock, rated at 400hp

Overrated or not my bone stock 535i which would likely dyno 270-280 rwhp kept up with that 350-360 rwhp vette.
My friends Mustang GT dyno'd nearly 300 rwtq and doesn't stand a chance against my 535i despite the fact his car weighs 300 pounds less and is sitting on 17x11's in the rear.
I also pull away from my friends '04 STI putting down 340 awhp. His AWD gets me off the line all day, but 70+ and he doesn't stand a chance.

Did you do this too?

In all seriousness, I find it hard that a stock 535 beat a highly modded STI and vette.

Just on a side note, wider tires = slower straight line speed.

I am uneducated on the subject, but if wider tires = slower straight line speed, why do I see people installing wider tires on their cars?

It gives more traction when you are pulling away from your estate.
